ABOUT
KEN RUFFO

To know my story is to know my family so I’ll start with my great grandfather, Carmelo Ruffo. Carmelo left his family in Italy for a better life in early 1900. He traveled to San Francisco, California and Mexico City but landed in San Antonio, Texas in 1906. He brought his wife and 3 children to the new world and my grandfather, Louis Ruffo, was born shortly after moving to San Antonio. Carmelo was a visionary who did not compromise his principles when he founded the Santa Rosa Macaroni Factory in 1911 and ran it until he passed away in 1956.
